Telltale Signs Summer is Ending

The slip-n-slide is toast. No amount of duct tape can salvage a $10.00 piece of yellow plastic that has been used and abused by two small children almost everyday for the last two months. It was ceremoniously tossed into the trash yesterday with many heartfelt farewells from the JD Boy (he gets very attached).

Sniff, sniff, The pool is closing, sniff, sniff. I can't write anymore on this subject...it's too sad.

The parking lot at school is full of cars. The teachers are back at school preparing their rooms for the upcoming year.

Everyday a new back to school catalog arrives in the mailbox.

All summer stuff is on clearance at the stores (pretty soon they'll have Christmas stuff out).

I'm ready for school to begin so we can get back to a normal routine again, and I've run out of things for me and the kids to do.

I love summer but alas all good things must come to an end. Thanks for the memories.

Our visit to Monterey, lucky us, this is a day trip we take often.

JD Boy AKA Scuba Steve in the pool. He ditched the life vest by the end of summer, unfortunately not the goggles.

HRH taking in the sights at Morro Bay, another day trip for us (we went kayaking). Hmmm, did I mention we are lucky to live so close to the California coastline.

My daughter is already back in school. Where on earth did the time go??? Of course it still feels like summer here and will for months to come. Oh and ugh, lets not think of Christmas stuff out already!!!

Where I live it has rained just about every single day this summer so I'm still waiting for it. Of course it's only three weeks until school...sigh...

Those are very good points. I can't believe that Christmas stuff will be out soon!

I refuse to believe summer is coming to an end. This never-ending heat humidity in NYC says otherwise!

It's amazing to me how many schools are already in session!

Slip n Slides only cost $10? That's not bad for a whole summer of fun. I'd throw it out too!

I know I love living in California. I noticed that today too, that the schools parking lots were filled with the cars of the teachers. My son starts school next Tuesday, time goes by so fast. I'm just not ready for him to be in the 4th grade. tear, tear. I've also already seen all the Halloween decor in the stores, which excites me as that is my fav holiday, but a sign the year is coming to a close which for mean only means another b-day is approaching to which for the past 2 b-days I've spent in tears over getting older. i'm lame. lol

Our Mission

To have a safe place where you can air all your mama drama without judgement, cause we know you don't always have the kids in bed by 7 and make creme brulee for dessert every night.

Oh yeah.........

and if you do, you're on the wrong blog!
