Wordful Wednesday: Mama's Day

I am sure that most people posted pictures this week of there cute kids all smiling at the camera - Not me!

I had an awesome Mama's weekend.  We went to town and stayed one night (we live in the middle of no where and don't get out much).  Had a yummy dinner at BJ's Brewery (my new favorite place), went shopping,  swimming then the next morning went to my all time favorite breakfast place ( homemade apricot jam!). It was great.

Then I cam home and realized I didn't take one picture of my cute little girls in their cute little pink and brown dresses, not one.  So off we went outside to capture a memory.  (In the million pictures I have on my computer; I think I have like 5 with me and the girls together.) Moms are always the ones with the camera - meaning they are seldom in the picture.

PICTURES ARE EXHAUSTING! The Hubs took like 20 something pictures and one came out relatively decent and the rest looked something like this one.  Well of course the camera was on the wrong setting for the first 15 so those were all out of focus, figures. By that time the girls had had enough of pictures so getting them to all look at the camera was nearly impossible.

Anyhow  I think this picture has a certain charm to it. If you know my girls this picture perfectly captures each one's spirit.

Here's the other one that I got; a little out of focus (camera was on manual) but cute none the less. I love my girls and my Hubs. Thanks guys for a wonderful weekend.  Did I mention I got a blender to go on my Bosch. I think I might be a little spoiled.

Hey, Aub has the exact same dress as the 2 girls. Those are cute pictures and don't worry I didn't get pics of my darlings either because you know what I was doing on Mother's Day!!

Yep - Shaving those piggies! I think S is old enough to do that now. I know our Mama's would have made us do that! oh that's right - they did!

Don't you just love Kohls? great dresses, great prices! If that is where you got it?

Up late again - crazy lady! I see you didn't get abducted by a strange alien being. Good I would miss ya.

Those pictures are wonderful! At least everyone was smiling! I wanted to take pictures of the boys and I but no one would take the pictures of us. So still no recent picture of me and the boys.

You are lucky - your family must really love you to get a blender also!

IT is exhausting trying to take family pictures. I love photographing everything but families. First it is so SO difficult to get all the little ones looking in the same direction with smiles on their faces, and their hands down to the side or in their lap. Second, adults are so self critical. Third, trying to catch the second when no one is blinking... *sigh* family pictures are a lot of work. I usually take about 250-300 pictures on a family shoot and only get about 10 really good ones.

Also, you are beautiful! It's nice to have a face with the name. I'll email you again soon.

Our Mission

To have a safe place where you can air all your mama drama without judgement, cause we know you don't always have the kids in bed by 7 and make creme brulee for dessert every night.

Oh yeah.........

and if you do, you're on the wrong blog!
